It is Friday, and instead of a tip I want to share something I have been feeling all week. Call it a confession.
If you spend any time around AI Twitter, LinkedIn or YouTube, you have probably seen this line in the replies over and over, "I'm tired, boss." There is a good reason it keeps coming up. People are exhausted. "Model fatigue" is an actual term now. Another shiny thing, another release, another model you are apparently already behind on.
I'm tired too. I know I told you this Tuesday that GPT-6 is great, and it is, so go play with it.
I spend a lot of hours in front of the computer playing with these models. It is entertaining, it is amazing, it is genuinely educational, and it is my job. But I catch myself getting exasperated, trying to keep up, reading every article, feeling like I am falling behind. And I work in this industry. So take this as a reminder, as much for me as for you. You are not behind, and everything is okay.
Your current setup works. If your work is getting done, you are using the right models and the right structure. There is always room to improve, sure. But the labs are relentless right now, shipping release after release after release, partly because they are using AI to build AI, and they are racing each other. You cannot keep pace with that, and you are not supposed to.
Every now and then you need to miss a few releases. Skip a few models. Ignore a few features. The truth is most of them are not that important. And if something genuinely big lands, you will hear about it. You will not be the first to know, but you will be close, and I will tell you the moment I do.
The YouTubers, the influencers, the big AI accounts a lot of us follow, they have teams behind them researching the latest thing and turning it into content all day. That is their full-time job. Sometimes it makes me feel like I am not doing enough, not researching enough. You do not need to test every new tool.
So go touch some grass. Get out of the building and the hype for a bit. These tools are supposed to give you back your free time, not eat away your hours.
That is me, logging off on a Friday. And yes, this one was all me. Back to the normal tips on Tuesday.
